Art & Music in the Gallery

Since 1901, the Lawrence Library has hosted art exhibitions and live music performances.

Art

The Gallery hosts a new exhibit every month.

Annual highlights are the Squanicook Colonial Quilt Guild show in the spring, and the student art show in the summer. In December, the Gallery transforms into a winter wonderland!

Murphy Clark Band

The Murphy-Clark Band is a lively and entertaining original music band based in Southern New Hampshire. Featuring exceptional singing, songwriting and musicianship, Murphy-Clark’s sound is reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac meeting R.E.M. for a jam on David Byrne’s back deck. Pull up a chair, sit back and enjoy!

Murphy-Clark is an engaging group of regional music professionals and teachers, including frontman Brian F. Murphy on guitar and vocals, Clark Creative producer/engineer Mike Clark on bass, and Indie Music store owner and drum instructor Jeff Harrington on drums. Former Aquahtenang singers Cindy Mendel and Marian Murphy provide exceptional lead and harmony vocals, and Gary Young, legendary guitarist and singer, rounds out this all-star group of friends. Murphy-Clark’s music is available on all music providers including YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon, etc. Check us out! Search: Murphy-Clark.
