August at the library

August 5, 2025

Stay cool in the Library this August with an eclectic mix of programs! Summer Reading Bingo runs through Saturday, August 16. Make sure you stop by the Circulation Desk to grab your Bingo card if you haven’t already! Kids can enjoy the outdoors in our back garden for Bubble Blast on Wednesday, August 13, from 2 PM - 2:45 PM (weather permitting).

In the Children’s Room, drop in from 3 PM - 7 PM on Wednesdays for Summer Crafternoons, which will be held through August 27. Make sure you register for Strawberry Paint Night being held on August 14 at 6 PM. We will be painting strawberries on our canvas library book bags. Materials will be provided, and the program is for ages 5-12. On August 21, ages 3-12 can bring a special shell, rock, or other summer beach treasure to paint. Extras will be provided, and no registration is required.

Each Wednesday night, at 6:30 PM, instructor Jennifer Griffith leads Yoga for Everyone. This free Kripalu yoga class will be accessible to all levels, offering variations to allow you to listen to your body and choose what feels best for you. Class will conclude with a short relaxation and meditation to leave you feeling refreshed and balanced. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. Registration is necessary.

Teens can try Japanese Kit Kats and Pocky while they discuss the young adult horror novel Find Him Where You Left Him Dead, by Kristen Simmons, on Wednesday, August 13, at 4 PM. Copies of the book can be found at the Circulation Desk. No registration is necessary.
